The Himachal Pradesh government on Tuesday introduced the Himachal Pradesh Sports (Registration, Recognition and Regulation of Associations) Bill of 2015 in the state assembly to bring sports bodies, including the state cricket association, under its control. The bill seeks to facilitate and regulate the activities of sports associations and to provide recognition and regularisation of their right to represent the state of Himachal Pradesh. The Astros fired general manager Jeff Luhnow and manager Hinch after the duo were suspended following an MLB investigation into allegations of sign stealing. Luhnow and Hinch were given year-long bans by MLB while Houston were fined $5million and have been forced to forfeit their first and second-round picks in the 2020 and 2021 drafts.
