Skyrim has maintained its popularity since its release and has had a number of players point out amusing bugs or glitches throughout the years. The game, as its name implies, takes place in the province of Skyrim on the continent of Tamriel. As part of The Elder Scrolls series, the game mixes mystery, magic, and adventure all in one open world.

The world of Skyrim is full of creatures and animals that players can battle and interact with. Though far from one of the stranger animals in the game, the deer in this clip takes the cake. U/sad_lad69420 is roaming an open field when a deer comes running across the screen. But the way in which this deer runs is likely one of the strangest movements any Skyrim player has seen. The animal runs in an odd, reserved fashion, almost as if it is trying to power walk, and stares at the player and their companions.
Normally deer in Skyrim run similarly to deer in real life and this is likely just a simple glitch in Skyrim. U/sad_lad69420 watches the power-walking deer roam past and then looks back at their companions in disbelief. That reaction shows just how shocking this must have been. Though the power-walking deer is interesting, it likely is near impossible to replicate for other players.
The entire clip is an absolute delight for both fans of Skyrim and people who have never played it. Glitches like this one happen in nearly every game and can often lead to moments such as this. Odd reactions from NPCs, the world not reacting the way players expect, and wildlife running in weird ways all can add to a playthrough. For Skyrim, these rare moments and odd happenings have only added to the game’s overall feeling and the community’s affection for the title.
But when serious moments are disrupted and when players are taken out of the world, glitches can be absolutely frustrating. Unfortunately, glitches and bugs in video games are relatively common even in large releases from established developers. At the very least this one has led to an amazing clip and, fortunately, Skyrim’s success hasn’t been impacted by minor glitches or issues players have encountered.
The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is available to play now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch.
