This had led to the minutes between October 31 and November 1 being made into memes for ages, and now it’s been turned into a Pokemon battle between Mariah Carey and Michael Myers.

Emulating the style seen in Pokemon Gold and Silver, Michael Myers from Halloween is seen walking towards the house from the film in pixel-perfect detail, when he gets a call from someone. The person’s name is never stated, but Michael opens up the menus to watch as the time changes from October 31 to November 1, when suddenly “Christmas Queen Mariah” appears and challenges him.
The two are even given their own custom sprites, but instead of calling out their Pokemon teammates, Mariah Carey sings to Michael and instantly makes him faint. Upon winning, Mariah Carey says the quote “I know it’s over the top, but that’s how festive I am,” another meme she’s helped create with her love for Christmas.
What helps sell this parody is the detail put into it, with the detailed sprites and even custom music as it features “All I Want For Christmas Is You” as Mariah Carey’s battle theme, and even the iconic theme from Halloween itself plays before the battle begins. Many fans in the comments of the video said that they think that this Pokemon battle is the perfect transition from Halloween to Christmas.
The artist, Sindorman, makes a few Pokemon parodies similar to this one all in the style of the series’ second generation in his spare time. With how well this animation is resonating with many fans, the pixel artist may make more in the future.
