One of the best memes to surface since the PS5 reveal is one which compares the PS5 design to Seto Kaiba’s jacket from Yu-Gi-Oh. Though it may not seem obvious at first, the picture makes it incredibly clear how accurate this comparison is, and it is quite frankly priceless.

Kaiba acts as Yugi’s main rival throughout the entirety of Yu-Gi-Oh, but he is one of the show’s fan favorite characters. This dichotomy has also led to fans comparing the Xbox Series X to Yugi, although that comparison doesn’t work nearly as well visually speaking.
The PS5’s two tone design has been subject to criticism from some, with many hoping for an all black PS5 to be released. That said, while it had been compared to a lab coat previously, people are now realizing just how similar it is to Kaiba’s coat as well. The black interior paired with the pointy edges of the white shell match up perfectly with Kaiba’s aesthetic, making the image above absolutely perfect. Kaiba’s cold stare seems to fit well with the PS5 as well for some reason.
Despite Yugi usually coming out on top of Kaiba in duels because he believes the heart of the cards and has the power of friendship on his side, Kaiba is generally considered to be the better duelist. This relation has sparked some debate between the Xbox Series X and the PS5, with many claiming one is better than the other. For the most part, though, fans seem to be enjoying this by sharing their own memes which reference the PS5 is creative and funny ways. One comment shares a picture of the PS5 as the pope’s hat, while another puts it as the bill on a duck.
Regardless of what one thinks about the design itself, the PS5 Future of Gaming event has certainly done wonders to hype up the system. Anticipation for its release this holiday season is at an all time high, so hopefully PS5 price concerns don’t stunt the console’s performance on the market.
