The advent of the seventh console generation allowed development studios to provide content updates and patches more immediately, as bugs and glitches have become more and more commonplace within the video game industry. Even technically impressive games like God of War have glitches that inevitably get addressed. However, in the matter of Far Cry 6, this most recent glitch occurred during the middle of a cutscene.

A Reddit user named CortezOnline noticed that Dani Rojas’ lips were pursed during an entire cutscene. While it’s not as wacky or out of place as some of the glitches that have occurred in Cyberpunk 2077, for instance, it does break the composition of the scene quite a bit, to the point where the formation of Dani’s lips is the only thing the player can focus on during the cutscene.

Many players believe that bugs and glitches provide an additional level of entertainment value to any given game, which certainly has some truth to it. However, glitches can ultimately devalue the experience of any given game, because when all the player can focus on are the bugs and not the core content of the game itself, it lessens the impact of what the game wants the player to experience. There’s a reason why the bugs and glitches of Cyberpunk 2077 hold it back quite a bit, to this day.

In terms of the Dani Rojas pursed lips bug, it’s possible that some players wouldn’t even notice something like this, given how minute it is. Although, considering that Dani’s lips aren’t shaped like that to begin with, seeing something like that could be quite jarring depending on the situation. It’s like if Anton Castillo had a permanent smile on his face during every in-game appearance he makes.

In any case, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for Far Cry 6 going forward. With the Joseph Seed DLC finally released, the last piece of major DLC content left to release for Far Cry 6 is the Stranger Things crossover DLC. Considering how most of the DLC content has had strong ties to the Far Cry franchise as a whole, a Stranger Things themed content should hopefully be a nice change of pace.

Far Cry 6 is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
