Everton started the second half strongly and just when it looked like they’d equalise, Eden Hazard made a dazzling running from the left forcing Coleman to deflect it pass Tim Howard.

The home side produced an instant reply when Aiden McGeady made a fantastic run to set Naismith up for their second.

The visitors came up with an instant reply of their own when some poor defending allowed Matic to take a shot from the edge of the box

Poor defending was on display again as defender Sylvain Distin headed home from a Leighton Baines free-kick

Everton 3-5 Chelsea : Ramires (76’)

Matic and Ramires exchanged a one-two at the edge of the box for the Brazilian to poke in his side’s 5th goal

Everton 3-6 Chelsea: Costa (90’)

Chelsea were not done and extended their advantage by another goal after goal work from Mikel to set the former Atletico striker up for his brace
